An Etsy Tip For New Sellers

Here's an Etsy tip for newbies (especially those starting to stock their store):

A lot of newbies make the mistake of putting everything they have for sale up right away. You may be eager to get your store up and running, but don't post all your items the same day. You are much better off listing a few items a day. It may take you a week or two to get everything up, but it will pay off. Why?

Well, Etsy organizes items in the order of when they were uploaded. The new(er) items will show up first in searches. If you post all your items in one block of time, all of your goods will be buried together. If you spread things out and post over the span of a week (and at different times of the day) your goods will appear on several search pages.

Buyers are more likely to find your items this way and if buyers find you, they may buy from you! Think of it as a way to get the most out of your .20 Etsy fee. :)
